Terms of Service
These terms describe how we quote, schedule, and complete custom upholstery work for our residential and commercial customers.
Estimates
Every estimate is reviewed and finalized by the business owner before it is sent to you. Preliminary figures generated from photos and project details are not binding until that review is complete.
Estimates are based on the scope, materials, and measurements discussed at the time of quoting. If the scope changes — hidden frame damage, additional pieces, or a different material selection — we will send a revised estimate for your approval before continuing.
Approvals and Deposits
Work begins after you approve the estimate and any required deposit is received. Approvals recorded in your customer portal, including typed or drawn signatures, are treated as your authorization to proceed and order materials.
Deposits cover material ordering and reserved shop time and are generally non-refundable once materials have been ordered or cut.
Materials
Kaiser Upholstery Inc. is a custom upholstery service company. We do not manufacture, distribute, or sell fabric, vinyl, leather, foam, thread, springs, frames, hardware, or trim. All materials are sourced from trusted manufacturers and authorized suppliers.
Customers select from hundreds of supplier sample books. Availability, pricing, dye lots, and lead times are set by the supplier and are subject to their inventory. Slight variation between a sample and the delivered roll can occur and is outside our control.
Timelines
Project timelines are estimates. Supplier lead times, material backorders, and the condition of the piece can affect scheduling. We keep your project status updated in your customer portal and notify you of any material delay.
Pickup, Delivery, and Installation
Pickup and delivery are available for residential and commercial projects. A transportation fee may apply based on location, travel distance, project size, and accessibility. Access, parking, elevators, stairs, and clear work areas are the customer's responsibility.
Completed work should be inspected at delivery or installation. Please tell us right away if anything is not right.
Workmanship
We stand behind our craftsmanship. Workmanship concerns raised within the warranty period stated on your invoice will be corrected at no charge. Normal wear, customer-supplied materials, misuse, accidents, pet damage, and manufacturer material defects are not covered by our workmanship warranty.
Payment
Final balances are due on completion unless other arrangements are documented on your invoice. Applicable New York State and county sales tax is added where required. Valid exemption documentation must be on file before tax is removed.
Stored Items
Please arrange pickup or delivery promptly after your project is complete. Items left beyond 30 days after completion without arrangements may be subject to storage fees.
